Matt Parambil, a senior, blew everyone away with his skills on the court throughout his last season. On January 9, the Boys’ Varsity basketball team honored their seniors with “Senior Night”, and this event changed everything for Matt. He played tremendously well, especially under pressure, proving to his coach that he deserves every second on the court. Since that night, he has had more playing time in his games, proving to every one that hard work pays off.
Since it was his last season this year, he decided to push even harder during practices since he has nothing to lose. Coach Cowles said that, “Matt improved more than any player we have had throughout the eight seasons that I have coached at Unionville. His buy-in to the program’s principle, skill work, and overall concepts allowed him to maximize his personal success,” his hard work showed tremendously on the court.
Matt always puts 110 percent effort during practices and games, his determination to prove to himself that he is worthy on the court, never fails him. His last words for younger players, inspiring to be on the Unionville Boys’ Basketball team, were: “Never give up, your hard work will eventually pay off, so keep pushing.”
