Over the weekend of March 1, the high school proudly introduced its 2025 spring musical, The Drowsy Chaperone. The show was a great success, directed by Catherine Quigley and brought to life by the outstanding actors and crew. To begin with, the core cast of actors was absolutely wonderful. Some of the most exceptional performances were delivered by junior Sullivan Smith as Aldolpho and senior Brianna Greeley as the Drowsy Chaperone, brilliantly highlighting the comedic tone of the show.

Other main actors such as seniors Marshall Gantt, Olivia Velez, Lilah Brennan, Isabelle Mullin and Ian Gushurst also put on an impressive show, fully embodying their roles and bringing out the best in each other with strong chemistry. Additionally, the acting and singing among the ensemble members was lovely, supporting and enhancing the overall performance. Stage crew beautifully designed the set to reflect the 1920s, complete with era-appropriate posters and decor, perfectly capturing the show’s time period.

The lights crew incorporated functional lamps and a chandelier, while sound crew made sure microphones and sound effects were always working. The show would not have been the same without the crew’s hard work and dedication.

Overall, the show was fantastic, as expected from the UHS Theatre Company. Unionville Theatre continues to bring people together and is filled with a talented group of students. The amount of effort and passion put into this production was evident, and the result was truly outstanding.
