Senior Jack Robbins has been working extremely hard throughout his last season on the boys’ varsity basketball team. He has shown tremendous effort and leadership as a captain for this season. Before the season started, his goal for himself and his teammates was to maximize their performance on the court, build a strong connection with one another, and of course, win every single game.
Before every game and practice, Robbins reminds his teammates to always put 110 percent effort in every single scrimmage and drill to prepare themselves for games. Training during and before the season can be rigorous, it means waking up early for practices and working constantly on drills to master their skills.
As captain, he always holds his teammates accountable while also lifting one another up: “In basketball, you must hold yourself accountable, to learn from the mistakes, and never bring a teammate down, that’s how you can be dominant on the court.”
