After being surveyed about their go-to shows and movies this month, Unionville High School students came up with three popular recommendations.
1. Gilmore Girls – Many students said Gilmore Girls is their favorite television series. Now that fall is here, Gilmore Girls is perfect to match the theme and vibe of the season. Rory Gilmore is a high school overachiever who has to balance her humble hometown and her rich school. Some students relate with her drama, school, and family conflicts. It’s the perfect show to enjoy your pumpkin spice latte while feeling the warmth of the fireplace. Also, this show is popular and can definitely be a conversation starter with friends. There are seven seasons and 153 episodes! That’s a lot, but it is a great way to spend your time during Thanksgiving break or winter break.
2. Hocus Pocus 2 – Of course, the Halloween season is here, and it seems like many Unionville students adore watching the traditional movie Hocus Pocus. For some, watching Hocus Pocus 2 is a way to walk down memory lane, and the movie is rated PG, so feel free to share and laugh with your younger siblings!
3. The Menendez Brothers – Another recently-released movie is The Menendez Brothers. This film is perfect for students who enjoy crime documentaries, but heads up: unlike Hocus Pocus, this one is definitely not a movie you should watch with little siblings. The Menendez brothers are real-life people that were thrown in prison for murdering their parents. However, there’s a twist: it turned out that the brothers’ parents had been abusing them, but the court still sentenced them to life in prison. Is this unjust or fair? There have been many debates over the show, and even Kim Kardashian has taken a stand, saying that she believes the Menendez brothers should be freed.
With top movies and shows including Gilmore Girls, Hocus Pocus 2, and The Menendez Brothers, Unionville students have been watching a variety of shows and movies to stay entertained.
