Last year, Fortnite took the world by storm after surprising everyone by bringing back the original map for a month. This December, they brought it back again permanently. Fortnite is an online game that many people play around the world. Its battle royal mode was released in 2017, and it was an instant success. This latest mode utilized a building mechanic that no game has seen yet. Many streamers like Ninja, Myth, and Dequan contributed to the game’s instant success. After a while, the game slowly got too complicated, and its original players wanted nothing to do with the game. November 3, 2023, was when everything changed for Fortnite. The game’s player base skyrocketed to a count that hasn’t been seen since the game's introduction. Everyone was enthralled with Fortnite’s decision to bring back the original map. Gamers were hooked on this new update, that was not so new to begin with. Its player count even continued to be good at the start of the next chapter, which is what Fortnite was hoping for. After this, though, people stopped playing again. The game was too complicated and many players just wanted a simple game. Many players suggested that Fortnite should make a permanent OG mode.
On December 3, 2024, many players' wishes were granted. Fortnite brought a permanent OG mode to appeal to the players who played on the game’s release. Many players loved the idea, but many opposed it as well. People thought that Fortnite was just recycling the OG (original) map just to gain its popularity again. The OG game mode has seen a lot of positive and controversial feedback. Players are on edge to see the game’s advanced direction and current updates. dsl map
